A little about the founder of The Mum Tribe

Hi! I'm Jess. I'm the founder of The Mum Tribe. I'm a 30-something first time mama living in Dunedin with my husband, 5 month old daughter and fluffy pooch.

Being a first-time mum, I've read a LOT about being a mum. Who else is googling stuff at 3am while feeding baby? I'm sure I'm not the only one. I wanted to create a place where we can share the truth about being a mama. Poonamis and all.

It's a massive life event to have a child - your whole life changes. Here at The Mum Tribe we can talk about the lighthearted stuff, the dark stuff and the wonderful stuff. Being a mother has so far been the most incredible experience of my life, and I can't wait to share my experiences and hear the stories of other wonderful mamas!
