Motherhood Affirmations: The Game Changing Mum Hack You Need

I'll admit, I used to find affirmations a bit airy-fairy and a oh-so-not-me. Whenever I saw people talking about affirmations I'd internally (and sometimes externally) roll my eyes.

All that changed when I became a mum. In those early days when I was sleep deprived, unshowered and starving I would question my worth as a mother. I'd constantly fret over whether I was doing it right, or whether I was ruining my child for life by letting her cry for a minute while I went to the bathroom.

I was waging a war on myself internally, constantly trying to keep my head above the proverbial water. And then one day I read about the power of affirmations. At the time it was the classic that us mums hear all the time.

"This too shall pass"

It hit me pretty hard. While I was sitting feeling like utter crap, I realised that it would be over before I knew it. So that night, I cuddled my baby a little closer and leaned in to the power of the affirmation. I'd repeat it to myself when she was crying between 5pm and 9pm every night with colic.

And you know what? It did pass. My newborn quickly became a 6 month old, who quickly transformed into a walking one year old, who before I could even blink became my beautiful two year old.

Last year I started playing with an idea in my head. I wanted to share the power of affirmations with other mums. I've seen affirmation jewellery before, but nothing like what I had in mind.

I wanted something that would sit close to the heart, and something that was also minimalist and pretty.

And so The Mum Tribe affirmation jewellery was born. I've been working on this project for over 6 months now, and I'm so excited to finally be launching these necklaces.

Designed with so much love, these necklaces are there to remind you how amazing you are. They come beautifully packaged with an affirmation card and sticker for you to put on your mirror or somewhere prominent. Repeat your affirmation to yourself every day, and I can guarantee you'll start believing it.

Because you are enough. You are worthy. You are capable. You are a mama bear. And you've got this.
